AccessDisk Requirements

1. Hardware requirements

AccessDisk runs on any x86 machine that runs Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millenium, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP.
Needless to say you should have any type disk (HDD, CDROM, floppy or other) to access it :)

2. Software requirements

Software requirements are very moderate. AccessDisk works with any Windows (except Windows CE):
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millenium,
Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP. (NT, 2000 and XP we call Windows NT+ serie)
With Windows NT+ serie machines Administrator rights are reqired due to AccessDisk low level operations nature.
It requires less then 1 Mb space to work. However backup or image files you may create can require additional space.

3. AccessDisk User Technical Awareness

Although Software and Hardware requirenments of AccessDisk are extremly low, that is not the same to say about technical awareness required for successful use of it. It has simple in use interface and is fully described in its help, and here, on site, but nevertheless AccessDisk remains a sharp, and power tool. In some way it is similar to DOS `format' or even more to `fdisk' utility: except that of it provides user friendly interface, and has some abilities not supported with any other program (see Unique features)

To help our users to win this challenge we have created additional help and documentation materials: User Guide and How-to.

If you will feel lack of some information about disks data structures or AccessDisk abilities, you can always write to us about that at: support@accessdisk.com

To help with difficult disk data recovery cases (mainly hard disk data) we also provide rate based consultancy service through email. Write your requests at datarecovery@accessdisk.com
